Terms of Service

These terms govern the website design, build and hosting service provided by Harry Graham, trading as Respite Group ("RespiteSite", "we", "us") to you ("the customer"). By submitting an enquiry or subscribing, you agree to these terms.

1. What we provide

• Design and build of a single-page website for your business, at no build charge.
• Hosting with SSL, a managed .co.uk domain, uptime monitoring and minor content updates, for as long as you subscribe.
• Optional paid extras (additional pages, logo design, bookings/accounts, copywriting) as agreed.

Minor content updates means changes to the content of your existing site — text, images, prices, opening hours, contact details, staff details, and adding or removing entries from an existing list. It does not include new pages, new functionality, or redesigns, which are quoted separately and agreed with you in advance.

Content updates are provided on a fair use basis. We batch requests and aim to complete them within two working days. Where requests are excessive in volume, or repetitive in nature (for example, the same content being repeatedly changed and reverted), we reserve the right to agree a revised arrangement with you or to quote for the additional work. We will always raise this with you and agree it in advance — we will not apply a charge without your consent.

2. Price and payment

The service costs £49.99 per month, billed monthly in advance via Stripe, starting when your site goes live. There is no build or setup fee. Optional extras are quoted and charged separately. We may change our prices with 30 days' notice; your existing rate will be honoured for 12 months from your start date.

3. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate business information and any content (text, images, logos) you want used.
• Confirm you have the right to use any material you supply to us.
• Review the preview and give feedback so we can finalise the site.

4. Approval & going live

We build your site and share a preview. Your site goes live once you approve it and your subscription begins. Most sites go live within around 5 working days of receiving your details, subject to your feedback.

5. Domains

Where we register a domain for you, we own and manage it for the duration of your subscription. If you leave or cancel, we'll offer to transfer that domain to you for a fee equal to the amount we've paid for it to date, evidenced by our registrar statements (for example, £12/year for 3 years = £36 to buy out the domain).

If you already own a domain and would like to use it, it remains registered in your name and you remain responsible for its renewal fees. We will configure it to point at your website and manage the technical setup, but we do not take ownership of it — so the buyout above does not apply, and the domain is unaffected if you cancel.

6. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time with no notice required. Your subscription ends at the close of the current billing period, at which point your site and hosting go offline. We do not provide refunds for the current period unless required by law. Your domain is unaffected by cancellation — see Domains, above. If you'd like to keep the website files yourself, see Ownership & Buyout, below.

7. Ownership & Buyout

You own all content you provide us (text, images, logos). The website itself — its design and code — remains part of your subscription while it's active. If you'd like to buy out the site and keep the files:

• At go-live, and whenever we deliver a paid extra, we'll confirm a build value with you in writing (by email or in your account).
• Your buyout fee is that confirmed build value, minus the total subscription fees you've already paid, subject to a £299 minimum handover fee.
• For example: a £899 build value, cancelled after 2 months (around £100 paid), works out at a £799 buyout.

Build value is always agreed in writing before or at delivery — never decided after the fact — though it will be requoted if you add further paid services later.

A site purchased on our entry plan (£49.99/month) is valued at £899 for buyout purposes. As an alternative to the monthly plan, we can also offer this as a one-off £899 flat-rate payment; the flat-rate option includes maintenance for 18 months from purchase.

8. Acceptable use

We may decline or suspend service for content that is unlawful, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate, and for non-payment.

9. Liability

We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the preceding 3 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
